- The Dutch De Bruin impresses everyone and wins the race
The Promo race of the Transgrancanaria HG, the shortest of the six races that make up the Transgrancanaria event, already has its winners: the Spanish Chema Martínez and the Dutch Luna de Bruin.
Martínez was one of the favorites of the race. A race that, despite the strong heat, demanded a high rhythm. The Spaniard arrived at an astonishing 01:07:58. Wilson Cardoso and Jesús Santana came in second and third position, respectively.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve had such a good time in a trail race like this”, Chema explained at the finish line. “I loved it. A race that has everything: Climbs, descents, and some technical stages… I have enjoyed a lot.”
In females, the young Dutch athlete Luna de Bruin, who had come to Gran Canaria with her family, who are also running in the Transgrancanaria, crossed the finish line in first position. The Spaniards Lorena Marcen and Elodie Berteloodt came in second and third position, respectively.
