Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, June 7, 2018.- The organization of the Transgrancanaria begins to give shape to the next edition, which will take place from 20 to 24th of February 2019. The registrations, which are open at the official website, are moving at a good pace and there are already registered runners from 34 nationalities.
The country with the largest number of participants from outside Spain is France, followed by the United Kingdom and Germany, not far behind appear countries such as Finland, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Poland, Italy, Holland or Canada, as well as representation from athletes from Korea, USA, Australia, Romania, Peru or India.
In 2019 the Transgrancanaria HG returns with its six available race distances: Transgrancanaria 360º, Transgrancanaria 125km, Advanced, Marathon, Starter and Promo / Family Trans. The organization is currently working on the field survey and new developments are not completely discarded for 2019; among them, changes in the Promo distance.
The Transgrancanaria HG will be promoted in Italy
Next 21st and 22nd of June, members of the organization of the Transgrancanaria will travel to Italy, in collaboration with the Tourist Board of Gran Canaria, to promote the event at the runner’s Expo organized by Lavaredo Ultra Trail, which will bring together organizers, companies and brands of the sector.
Both Lavaredo Ultra trail and Transgrancanaria HG are part of the prestigious racing group that conforms the Ultra-Trail World-Tour®, a prestigious long distance trail racing circuit (>100 km), in different technical terrains and with various levels of difficulty. Conceived as an international circuit since its inception, consists of a series of events of reference in the five continents.
