The Marathon’s format of Transgrancanaria will carry the name of WAA on the next race’s edition, which will take place from 20th to 24th February
Transgrancanaria Marathon will have the support of WAA, a French company founded in 2013 that shares the same philosophy and passion for the mountain as the race organisers, because just like Transgrancanaria, it was created by runners for runners. WAA spokesman stated that their products ‘are designed for athletes to athletes and will come out after many prototypes and tests on real ground’.
On the 20th edition of Transgrancanaria, that will take place 20th to 24th February 2019, the French brand will include in each runner’s bag a WAA product as well as a prize giveaway at the award-giving ceremony. The Transgrancanaria WAA Marathon, with a distance of 42 km and 1.000 meters of positive elevation, will take place on 22th February 2019 at 9:00am.
WAA, whose acronym stands for `What an Adventure` is a brand specialising in trail-running clothing, bags and accessories. Comfort is their main focus and they pay special attention to the weight and compressibility of the materials they use to develop each one of their products.
