Regulation
Section 1.0 Participant conduct and environment protection.
The Transgrancanaria is held in the spirit of absolute respect to the environment. Traffic will not be stopped at any time by the organization, and participants are asked to follow traffic rules in towns and roads for public use. Participants showing paramilitary, violent or xenophobic behavior, advocating for terrorism, or throwing garbage into the wild, will be DISQUALIFIED FROM THE COMPETITION. Participants are also asked to be respectful to crops, livestock and private property in general. Participants will be responsible for the damages.
Section 2.0 Registration, requirements and obligations of participants
Section 2.1 Registration and payment information.
1. Only online registrations are accepted. Go to the registration link of www.transgrancanaria.net, fill in the necessary information and pay the fee outlined.
2. Please ensure that the personal information is correctly given in the registration form. Each participant must fill out all your personal data, as these will be checked by the organization during race number pick-up. The information you provide at registration must match the identification you present when you pick up your number. 3.
Registration fees:
-1er period: From July 20 until November 31 at 24:00 pm
-2º period: From December 1 until January 15 at 24:00 pm
-3er period: From 16 January to 31 January at 24:00 h. AFTER THIS PERIOD, OR TO GET TO THE LIMIT OF PLACES OFFERED 1000 ACROSS ALL CATEGORIES, THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY REGISTER AT ANY OF THE MODALITIES FOR THE TRANSGRANCANARIA.

- Transgrancanaria 123 km: For this modality must be established beyond a competition over 50 km conducted between 2008 and 2010. (Attach the link on the official site of the test, where classification is housed).
Registration fee pays for:
Medical assistance during the race and rescue operations. Transportation
Route sheet for the race. Liability insurance and accident insurance. Food during the competition.
Official T-shirt of the competition. Sports drink. Energy food. Prizes, trophies and raffles. Finish party.
3. Registration ensures a reservation for the race. In case of cancellations, the organization will return the registration fee only if the 10 € deposit was paid. In any case, no registration fees will be returned after the equipment check-in.
Section 2.2 Participant requirements.
1. More than 18 years old.
2. Understand and accept the terms of these rules.
3. Correctly perform all the steps of pre-registration and registration.
Section 2.3 Medical certificate.
Participants registered in any of the different Transgrancanaria races will have to show a "specific medical certificate", completed by a physician. The health condition tests listed are not mandatory, but recommended.

Section 2.4 Disclaimer.
Registered participants in the Transgrancanaria understand that they will voluntarily participate of their own responsibility in the competition. Therefore, they agree to exempt, waive, absolve, and agree not to sue the organizing entity, partners, sponsors and other participants from any liability to the participants and their heirs.

Section 2.5 Rights of image.
The organization owns the exclusive rights to the image of Transgrancanaria and the audiovisual and photographic use and the journalistic coverage of the competition. Any media or advertising project requires the prior consent of the organization.

Section 2.6 Publicity. All runners are required to wear in the appropriate location the advertising material supplied by the organization (numbers, stickers, etc.).. Modifying, bending or hiding the material will be penalized. Runners must carry the advertising material supplied by the organization.

Section 3.0 Equipment Inspection The equipment required for the race will be inspected before the race. Participants who do not present the required equipment or with unusable or defective equipment, will not be allowed to compete.
Section 3.1 Start and finish. Clocks will start at the designated start time with or without the participants present. Participants arriving later than 15 minutes after the start will be disqualified.
Section 3.2. Backpacks Garañón and finish line. The organization is not responsible for objects left inside the backpacks.
Participants take the exit from Garañón (marathon) can not leave items or bags for collection at finish line
Section 4.0 Checkpoints. They are located in designated places in the route sheet. One referee of the organization will be at every checkpoint. If you skip one or more checkpoints you will be disqualified from the competition.
Section 4.1 Water and food stations
Water and food stations are set by the organization to provide food, sport drinks, and water to runners.
Section 4.2 closing times of the checkpoints. All checkpoints have a closing time. Participants who finish a section after the closing time of a checkpoint, will be automatically out of the race.
Section 5.0 where to drop out.
Drop outs must be made at checkpoints. If, due to an accident or injury, the runner can not reach a checkpoint, he/she will have to phone the organization using his/her cell phone to activate a rescue operation.

Section 5.1 Responsibilities of Race Organizers. Racer organizers may remove runners from the competition, if they consider that the runner’s physical condition is impaired due to the effort, or the runner does not carry the required equipment or his/her conditions are not suitable to continue in the race.
Section 5.2 Assistance in the Competition.
Participants can use trekking poles during the race. Other assistance or help using any means of transportation is prohibited. The non-stop nature of the competition requires that the participants train appropriately for the race. They must be prepared to perform physical activity continuously for several hours, and recover without further problems during the race (avoiding the appearance of blisters, tendinitis and other similar injuries).

Section 5.3. Required equipment
The organization will indicate in the general information section the required equipment that participants must carry to be admitted in competition:
Mylar blanket
Head light
Rear light
Full charged and operative cell phone
Water container with a capacity of at least two liters
Enough food supplies to run the race.

Section 6.0 Safety standards Participants must:
Carry the required equipment
Follow instructions given by organizers and safety staff (police, safety volunteers…)
Assist other runners in need of help
Do not ask for help unnecessarily
Any violation to the present rules will result in the disqualification of the participant.

Section 7.0 Race Directors
The RACE DIRECTORS may cancel, pause, shorten, or stop the race, for safety or other causes (weather, floods, etc.)..
Section 7.1 Commissioners Commissioners are responsible for the obligatory checkpoints. A participant who ignores a Commisioner’s instructions is automatically disqualified. Participants are not allowed to question the sports commissioners.

Section 8.0 Claims. All claims will be accepted upon payment of a 50€ deposit. This deposit is refundable only if the organization considers the complaint justified.
Section 9.0 Amendments. These rules may be corrected, modified or improved at any time by the organization,. By registering for the competition the participant agrees with these rules.

APPENDIX TO THE COMPETITION REGULATIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS
To ensure the success of the race both for participants and for the organization, there is a committee of race commissioners, which will ensure the security and equality of all participants. These commissioners will be properly identified.
1. OBLIGATORY EQUIPMENT 1.1. In order to participate in the competition each runner must carry throughout the entire race, the obligatory equipment required by the organization: - Emergency thermal blanket. Minimum size: 100 cm x 200 cm. - Front light or headlamp with replacement batteries. - Red rear light. - Mobile phone with enough credit and batteries. - Water tank of at least 2 liters. - Enough food for the competition. - Plastic glass.
2. COMPULSORY RACE NUMBERS AND BIBS 2.1. The use of the race numbers and bibs given to the participants is compulsory throughout the race. Participants shall plainly display their race numbers at all times. The race number must be placed on the front and under the sponsors logos. The participant shall wear the race number unaltered, unobstructed and readable during the whole race. It may not be folded or cut. Manipulating the race number or the bib or giving them to another participant will result in immediate disqualification.
3. CONTROL OF EQUIPMENT AND EXTERNAL HELP 3.1. The obligatory equipment can be checked by the organization in all control posts. There will be, in every case, equipment controls for the first positions of the Transgrancanaria and the Transgrancanaria Sur-Norte modalities as well as for an undetermined number of the four modalities competitors. 3.2. It is strictly prohibited getting external assistance or supplies from other people (competitors or not) during the race.
4. COMPETITORS GENERAL BEHAVIOR 4.1. All runners must help any other participant who is in danger or injured, and are obliged to inform the nearest control post immediately. The denial of help will be penalized with immediate disqualification. 4.2. Each runner must carry his/her own wastes: containers, wrapper, organic waste, etc... to the places indicated and prepared by the organization. 4.3. Every participant must follow the marked route. Not respecting it or not going through each and every control post will cause disqualification. 4.4. The participants must follow the instructions of the members of the organization at every time during the race. 4.5. Competitors must behave sportingly at all times and be respectful of other athletes, commissioners and other members of the organization. They must also take care ot the race facilities. 4.6. The competitors may retire from the race whenever they want, but must do so according to the following rules: - They will retire in a control post and deliver the race number. - The competitors assume overall responsibility from the time they leave voluntarily. - The organization will facilitate their evacuation at the closing time of the control post in which they are.
5. PENALTIES 5.1. Violation of any of the rules listed above will result in immediate disqualification or penalisation. 5.2. A competitor will be penalized or disqualified when: 5.3. Taking a short cut or not following the marked route = disqualification. 5.4. Getting outside help or provisions even from other competitors, except in emergency cases = disqualification. 5.5. Manipulating or giving the race number to somebody or not wearing it and keeping it readable during the whole race = disqualification. 5.6. Altering the signposting in any way or not following it during the race = disqualification. 5.7. Throwing any rubbish during the race = disqualification. 5.8. Blocking or standing in the way of other competitors = from 3' to disqualification. 5.9. Not carrying the obligatory equipment during the whole race = to disqualification. 5.10. Not following the organization's or commissioners' instructions = disqualification.
6. DISQUALIFICATION WITH PENALTY 6.1. Aggression or insult to other competitors, members of the organization or spectators. 6.2. Causing an accident on purpose. 6.3. The race jury will decide about the penalties and their quantities.
7. COMPLAINTS 7.1. All complaints must be written and must include the following information: Name of the person who makes the complaint. Identity card - passport number. Name of the runners affected. Race number. Description of the complaint.
Note: A deposit of 50 (fifty) euros is requested and refundable if the complaint is valid. Complaints must be presented within 30 minutes after the provisional results are shown.
8. CANCELLATION OF THE RACE The organization has the right to cancel the race for safety reasons in case of poor weather conditions, weather alert announced by the authorities or force majeure. In that case no registration fee or other participant expenses will be refunded.
