ARTICLE 1: SPORTIVE ATTITUDE AND RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Transgrancanaria race is held with absolute respect for environment. Traffic circulation won’t be stopped and participants must respect the rules of the road in towns and on roads for public use. Participants will be disqualified from the competition if they display paramilitary behavior, advocate terrorism, show signs of violent or xenophobic behaviour or leave rubbish behind. It is compulsory to respect crops, livestock and private property. Participants will be responsible for all damages they cause.

ARTICLE 2: REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

2.1 REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

Only entries made through Chronorace will be accepted. The necessary forms must to be completed and the registration fee needs to be paid with a credit/debit card.

Each participant must complete his/her personal data successfully, as it will be used by the organization during the collection of the race numbers.

MARCH 6TH 2020, 23:00 HOURS

128 KM. POSITIVE ELEVATION: 7,500 M

The mother of all races, every proper runner desires to overcome this engaging physical test. The race is is aimed for ultra endurance race top runners, and nature and adventure lovers. The Transgrancanaria race is specially made for you! Take your time to delight yourself in the most remarkable landscapes in Gran Canaria as you challenge the course on foot in less than 30 hours. You won’t be alone, of course. Spectators and other runners will support you from start to finish, as they all acknowledge and respect the strong will to overcome one’s limits that is necessary to tackle this challenge.

Medical Form
Registered participants in the Transgrancanaria 360º, Transgrancanaria Classic and Transgrancanaria Advanced, must present the document medical certificate filled and signed by a doctor. This form is valid for one year before the race unless it is necessary to modify it because of disease or injury. It must be uploaded to the registration site, since 17 of June 2019 until 4th of February 2020.

Registration will not be ended or validated until the runner encloses the medical certificate and the organization confirms it. A paid inscription without a medical certificate will not be valid. The certificate will validate the participant’s capacity for the race. The medical form of other race will not be valid only Transgrancanaria form or Spain Ultra Cup form.

External assistance & Circuits

EL GARAÑÓN: CENTRAL AID STATION

The aid station located in El Garañón (km 84.3) is the one where the participants can have the drop-bag service in Transgrancanaria. The runners interested in change their running bags must take to the checking in Expomeloneras their bag/material they want to receive in El Garañón at the same time they collect their bib. In El Garañón you will also have resting areas, hot food and medical assistance.

EXTERNAL ASSISTANCE

These will be signalled 100 meters before the provisioning point and 100 meters after, but never in the provisioning area of the organization.

External assistance will not be allowed in the following aid stations: Arucas (Santidad Alta), Presa de los Pérez and Hierbahuerto (IT´S NOT PERMITED ACCESS BY CAR)

 

SPAIN ULTRA CUP

Transgrancanaria (128km) will be one of the races of the Spain Ultra Cup 2019.

La Transgrancanaria (128 km) será una de las carreras que formarán en 2020 parte del Spain Ultra Cup.

ULTRA-TRAIL® WORLD TOUR QUALIFICATION

The Transgrancanaria 128 km race is with the UTMB a Series Bonus race and one of the courses to represent Spain among the races that integrate the Ultra-Trail® World Tour.

SCORE FOR ULTRA-TRAIL DU MONT BLANC

Transgrancanaria 128Km TRANS GC will give 5 qualifying point with the new ITRA scale for the Ultra Trail Du Mont Blanc.

Required Material
ID, passport or driving license (with photo)

Plastic cup

Emergency blanket (minimum 100 cm x 200 cm).

Headlamp, flashlight or front light with spare batteries required (minimum 200 lumens)

Red rear light (runners shall wear it on their rear side and keep it on throughout the race).

Mobile phone with enough credit and properly charged battery.

1.5 l water bottle.

Plenty of food to eat throughout the race.

Race number, worn in the front so that it is easily visible.

Breathable waterproof jacket.

Cap, bandana, etc.
