The race will be streamed from 22:00 PM on Friday, broadcasting the race start of the Classic, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
On Sunday morning, Televisión Canaria will broadcast the race start at Expomeloneras, in Maspalomas
Due to the current ongoing situation in which the Transgrancanaria HG 2021 is being held, we have made our best so that Transgrancanaria’s fans can keep track of the event from their houses. With the Transgrancanaria not being a public event, one of the strictest measures in this edition, we have prepared an event broadcast that will rise to this well-known worldwide event.
The live broadcast of the event will start on Friday evening at 22:00 on our social media and at our webpage. The amazing race start in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (23:00 PM) and the first 20 kilometres until runners reach the basecamp located in Arucas will be broadcasted until 01:00 AM on Saturday. This will be done thanks to the media display with cameras, camera-runners along the track and drones that will capture the race from the air.
After reaching Arucas, the event will no longer be broadcasted until 7:00 AM on Saturday. From this moment on, the event broadcast will be restarted when the first runner of the Classic reaches the Roque Nublo. The race start of the other modalities as well as the track in spots like el Camino de La Plata, La Gambuesa or the finish line in Maspalomas will be broadcasted until 18:00 PM on Saturday.
In charge of the event streaming we count on the experienced Evasión TV team, presented by the journalist Albert Jorquera. Transgrancanaria’s fans will be able to share their comments on the Transgrancanaria HG social media so that they can interact with questions, raffles and cheering messages for the runners during the event broadcast.
SPECIAL TELEVISIÓN CANARIA BROADCAST
Once again, we will be counting on Radio Televisión Canaria in Maspalomas to broadcast the runners’ arrivals to the finish line and the most relevant moments occurred on Saturday. From 11:30 AM, people from the Canary Islands will be able to keep track of one of the most important sporting events worldwide and they will enjoy themselves by watching the top moments in the event as well as the winners’ arrivals at the finish line of the Classic.
The WAA 360º winner is due to arrive around 08:00 AM on Friday
All WAA 360º runners are now in Gran Canaria facing the second track of this daunting challenge. At this time, the leading first male runners —the Italian Marco Gubert and the Canarian Iván Galván—are approaching the basecamp located in Santa Lucía de Tirajana. If they keep this pace, we expect that the winner will be arriving around 08:00 AM on Friday. As for women, after leaving the basecamp in Valsequillo, the French Claire Bannwarth is in the forefront of the race.
